Hand Carved Flagon

Hand-built using black stoneware clay. Once leather-hard I've carved a pattern in the surface. Glazed in a satin matt turquoise. Un-glazed internally and on the neck. I've also wiped some of the glaze from the surface of the carving, allowing the natural beauty of the black clay to contrast with the glaze.
