Hand Carved Flagon

Hand-built using black stoneware clay. Once leather-hard I've carved a linear pattern in the surface. Glazed in a satin matt turquoise. Un-glazed internally and on the neck. I've also wiped some of the glaze from the surface of the carving, allowing the natural beauty of the black clay to contrast with the glaze.

Measures 26 cm high and 12 cm at the widest point.
